Prior to his appointment at PNC,
served as global chief operating officer for ING. He was promoted to that position in 2007, one year after joining ING as chief information officer of the America's Division. He held several positions at Morgan Stanley from 1996 to 2006, including global CIO and global head of Operations & Technology for the Retail Division.
earned a bachelor's degree in business management and accounting from Central
University of Iowa
