Salvation Army in New Jersey
. Tax-deductible donations to the fundraising accounts will fund the disaster emergency services of these two nonprofit organizations providing assistance to those in need after the impact of Hurricane Sandy.
Popular Community Bank is also donating $10,000 to Food Bank For New York and $10,000 to the New Jersey Division of the Salvation Army. Customers and the public can donate to these organizations at any Popular Community Bank branch in Florida, Illinois, California, New York and New Jersey by depositing funds at the account No. 6809260133 for the Food Bank For New York City and account No. 6809260125 for the Salvation Army in New Jersey. Popular Community Bank will match third-party donations to the two fundraising accounts up to an additional $10,000.
“We have been ingrained in New York Metro’s communities for more than 50 years. We want to do everything we can to help the area recover from the hurricane and get back the normal flow of life and commerce,” said Brian Doran, New York Region Executive of Popular Community Bank.

During this disaster recovery period, Popular Community Bank is waiving all overdraft fees incurred due to delayed posting caused by Hurricane Sandy. Through November 11
, Popular Community Bank is also waiving its normal ATM withdrawal fees charged for using another bank’s ATM. Popular Community Bank customers have access to thousands of surcharge-free ATMs throughout New York and New Jersey.
