In addition to the live music performances and remarks by community leaders, attendees will be able to volunteer for a cell phone-banking event immediately following the rally. Participants will be asked to call five friends and have them pledge to vote on Tuesday.
The National Urban League's Occupy the Vote ( www.occupythevote12.org) campaign provides the latest information and resources to ensure that voters know their rights and are equipped to navigate any changes to voting laws that may have occurred in their state. The Occupy the Vote campaign will reach out to voters through door-to-door canvassing, online messaging, targeted telephone calls and on-the-ground events.
