The Huffington Post Canada (HuffPost Canada) has teamed up with Starcom MediaVest Group to take the country by storm with the launch of
The Huffington Post Canada Windows 8app, along with a marketing activation; which gives passersby a chance to interact with the app on the big screen in key locations in three cities across the country. The Huffington Post Canada app is currently available for
download at the Windows 8 app store.
The Huffington Post Canada Windows 8 app gives users access to a wealth of content, including HuffPost Canada’s unique blend of Canadian programming, original reporting, photo and video galleries, blogs, social news and sharing.
Interactive digital boards, provided by Monster Media, an international, full-service media company specializing in digital-out-of-home (DOOH) advertising, are live in key locations, including Toronto’s Union Station, Calgary South Centre Mall, Vancouver City Centre subway station and, starting mid November, at Toronto Eaton Centre. Commuters and shoppers alike will see the HuffPost Canada Windows 8 app in action and will be able to touch the 6 x 9 foot interactive screens to interact and experience it onsite until the end of November 2012.
“We were thrilled to have the opportunity to collaborate with Starcom MediaVest Group to bring a Huffington Post Canada Windows 8 app to life, and even more excited to be able to drive trial of the experience through an innovative digital activation in key high traffic locations across Canada. This is a great example of how we are able to collaborate with partners to bring multifaceted marketing programs to life for our consumers”, says Laura Pearce, director of marketing, AOL Canada.
"In partnership with AOL we are continuing to bring innovative solutions to the marketplace that stretch beyond advertising and truly begin to intersect technology and content to create beautiful user and brand experiences" Heather Loosemore, director digital and content SMG.
