Radisys’ MPX-12000 Wins Best Of 4G Award For Mobile Broadband Technology Innovation

Radisys® Corporation (NASDAQ:RSYS), a leading provider of embedded wireless infrastructure solutions, today announced that its MPX-12000 has won the Best of 4G Award for Mobile Broadband Technology Innovation. The MPX-12000, developed on Radisys’ T-Series 40G ATCA open platform technologies, is a broadband Multimedia Resource Function (MRF) for large LTE IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) deployments. An IMS network with the MPX-12000 enables operators to generate communication service revenues from the explosion in mobile video traffic over 4G or LTE.

Radisys’ MPX-12000 was chosen as the Mobile Broadband Technology Innovation winner because it provides operators with 3-10x capacity increases over existing technology to meet the exponential growth of video services in a 4G or LTE mobile network. This award-winning technology provides the scalable IP media processing required for Voice over LTE (VoLTE) with HD audio, video streaming, mobile HD video conferencing, IP-to-IP transcoding, multimedia value-added services (VAS) and other revenue-generating LTE mobile services. The Radisys MPX-12000 is now shipping, with systems already delivered to some Radisys customers for IMS interoperability testing and early pilot trials.
