DICK'S Sporting Goods Announces Four New Stores In The Oklahoma City Metro Area

PITTSBURGH, Oct. 29, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --  DICK'S Sporting Goods (NYSE: DKS), the largest U.S. based full-line sporting goods retailer, invites the community of Oklahoma City to celebrate the opening of the retailers' four new stores in the Oklahoma City metro area with a three-day grand opening weekend of festivities.

The new stores, located in Shops at Quail Springs, Fritts Farm ( Moore, OK), Westgate Marketplace, and Town Center Plaza ( Midwest City, OK),will open their doors on Wednesday, October 31 and kick off the weekend of festivities on Friday, November 2 with ribbon cutting ceremonies at 8:00 a.m. Special store hours will be in effect for all locations for Friday ( 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.), Saturday ( 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.) and Sunday ( 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.)

Throughout the weekend, DICK'S Sporting Goods will be hosting a variety of activities including special appearances by the DICK'S 4,000 gallon bass tank along with bass fishing professionals and DICK'S Ultimate Shootout archery trailer*. There will also be chances to win giveaway prizes such as an Epic A35T Treadmill, a Nishiki Kinzua29 Limited Edition bicycle. DICK'S will also be giving away a $100 DICK'S gift card at all four stores every hour from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday and Sunday. There will be a Mystery Gift Card Giveaway for the first 100 adults in line at each store on Friday, who will receive unmarked DICK'S Sporting Goods gift cards in varying denominations from $5 to $500, with one person winning the $500 card per store. On Saturday, DICK'S invites fans to each location to watch the Oklahoma Sooners battle the Iowa State Cyclones on a Jumbotron TVs as part of DICK'S Saturday tailgate events.
