NEW YORK, Oct. 29, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --  Newtek Business Services, NASDAQ: NEWT, The Small Business Authority, today announced that due to impending Hurricane Sandy, it has decided to postpone the release of its third quarter 2012 financial results. A conference call to discuss the results, originally scheduled for Tuesday, October 30, 2012 is now scheduled for Wednesday, October 31 ^st at 4:15 pm EDT. Newtek's financial results are prepared and ready however, due to the weather, the company felt it prudent to postpone the conference call at this time.
