Throughout the day, 7.7 million shares of US Airways Group exchanged hands as compared to its average daily volume of 7.1 million shares. The stock ranged in a price between $11.60-$12.17 after having opened the day at $11.94 as compared to the previous trading day's close of $11.92. Other companies within the Services sector that increased today were: DS Torm (TRMD), up 26.7%, Innovaro (INV), up 20.2%, Overseas Shipholding Group (OSG), up 17.1%, and Seanergy Maritime Holdings (SHIP), up 16.1%.

US Airways Group, Inc., through its subsidiaries, provides air transportation for passengers and cargo. US Airways Group has a market cap of $1.86 billion and is part of the transportation industry. The company has a P/E ratio of 4.8, below the average transportation industry P/E ratio of 4.9 and below the S&P 500 P/E ratio of 17.7. Shares are up 126.2% year to date as of the close of trading on Monday. Currently there are eight analysts that rate US Airways Group a buy, no analysts rate it a sell, and two rate it a hold.

The company's strengths can be seen in multiple areas, such as its revenue growth, solid stock price performance, compelling growth in net income, good cash flow from operations and impressive record of earnings per share growth. We feel these strengths outweigh the fact that the company has had generally high debt management risk by most measures that we evaluated.

On the negative front, Lawson Products (LAWS), down 9.1%, SUPERVALU (SVU), down 8.8%, SearchMedia Holdings (IDI), down 8.4%, and Vitran Corporation (VTNC), down 8.4%, were all laggards within the services sector with Gap (GPS) being today's services sector laggard.
