Bill Gates Hearts His Surface Tablet
NEW YORK (TheStreet) - Bill Gates has a Microsoft (MSFT) Surface tablet. One of the first ones off the assembly line. And, as you might imagine, he says he loves it.
The former Microsoft CEO was one of the first recipients of a Surface running Windows RT operating system (made especially for ARM (ARMH)-based processors). In an interview with Steve Clayton, the digital editor of Microsoft.com, he says he's been using it "day and night" and thinks it's an "unbelievably great product."
Gates also discusses the upcoming Windows 8 operating system, the future of Microsoft and the recognition of a touch/tablet computing experience.
He believes that "people will be amazed about the energy that Microsoft is putting behind the new wave of products," which encompass both hardware and software. Gates wants everyone to know that "this is the big time" for the company.
