Praxair China Signs Contract With Oxiranchem Yangzhou

Praxair China has signed a long-term contract with Oxiranchem Yangzhou Co., Ltd. to supply on-site industrial gases to their chemical park located in the Jiangsu province.

Oxiranchem Yangzhou Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Liaoning Oxiranchem, Inc., a National Key High-Tech Enterprise of China in the fine chemical industry. Oxiranchem produces ethylene oxide, fine chemicals and related derivatives.

Praxair China will construct and operate an air separation plant with a capacity of 500 tons per day of oxygen, which is planned to start-up in 2014. The plant will supply oxygen and nitrogen to the Yangzhou Chemical Industry Park for the production of 200,000 tons per year of ethylene oxide and 300,000 tons per year of derivative fine chemicals at the Oxiranchem Yangzhou Co., Ltd. project located within the same park.
