Radisys® Corporation (NASDAQ: RSYS), a leading provider of embedded wireless infrastructure solutions for telecom, aerospace, defense and public safety applications, today announced that it will showcase live demonstrations of an end-to-end LTE solution and an ATCA back-plane redundancy platform solution at 4G World, to be held October 29-November 1, 2012 in Chicago. In addition, Radisys’ CTO Manish Singh will be a panelist in the 4G World conference track addressing monetizing 4G.

Radisys will feature an  LTE in a Box  demonstration, illustrating a small form factor communications solution. This solution utilizes Trillium® Software and COM Express ^TM compute module along with an eNodeB radio device (EVM) to deliver a powerful LTE end-to-end solution for critical military communications—from battlefield communications to emergency services—that can be deployed quickly. Radisys will also demonstrate ATCA Back-plane Redundancy. ATCA enables hardware redundancy; however, software is required to enable these features in a platform solution. Radisys’ solution leverages existing Switch software to enable the backplane redundancy on both 10G and 40G platforms, allowing customers to take advantage of redundancy without the cost and complexity of additional software code.

Radisys to Share Insight on Monetizing Voice and Video over LTE

Manish Singh, Radisys CTO, will present in a panelist session titled “ Platforms to Monetize Voice and Video over LTE,” at 1:45p.m. on October 30 as part of the conference track “Monetization Mechanisms Value over 4G.” This session will examine how 4G voice and video technologies can be used as an edge against competitive over-the-top offerings.

Radisys Shortlisted for Best of 4G Awards

Radisys also announced it had two products selected as finalists for 4G World’s “Best of 4G” awards. The MPX-12000 is a finalist in the Mobile Broadband Technology category and the RMS-220 Network Appliance is a finalist in the User Experience and Policy Management Solution category. Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on October 29.
