NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- DISH Network (Nasdaq:DISH) hit a new 52-week high Thursday as it is currently trading at $35.78, above its previous 52-week high of $35.64 with 3.2 million shares traded as of 1 p.m. ET. Average volume has been 1.9 million shares over the past 30 days.

DISH Network has a market cap of $7.27 billion and is part of the services sector and media industry. Shares are up 19.8% year to date as of the close of trading on Wednesday.

DISH Network Corporation, together with its subsidiaries, provides direct broadcast satellite subscription television services in the United States. The company has a P/E ratio of 12.6, equal to the average media industry P/E ratio and below the S&P 500 P/E ratio of 17.7.
