Gartner Symposium/ITxpo Mastermind Keynotes To Include HP’s Meg Whitman, Cisco's John Chambers And General Colin Powell

Two of the most influential leaders in technology will sit down with Gartner Inc. analysts to discuss the current and future state of IT during Gartner Symposium/ITxpo, taking place October 21-25, in Orlando. They will be followed by Colin Powell, an American statesman and a retired four-star general in the U.S. Army, who will discuss the lessons that helped shape his life and career.

Gartner Symposium/ITxpo is the industry's largest and most strategic conference for CIOs and senior IT executives. More than 8,000 senior business and IT strategists, including more than 2,500 CIOs, will gather for the insights, tools and solutions they need to ensure that their IT initiatives are key contributors to and drivers of their enterprise's success. The event takes place October 21 through 25, at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel in Orlando, Florida.

This year's Mastermind Interview Keynotes include:

• John Chambers, Chairman and CEO, Cisco Systems, on Tuesday, October 23
• Meg Whitman, President and CEO, Hewlett-Packard, on Wednesday, October 24
• General Colin Powell, Retired U.S. General, on Wednesday, October 24

Gartner research over the past several years has identified the independent evolution of four powerful forces: social, mobile, cloud and information. As a result of consumerization and the ubiquity of connected smart devices, people’s behavior has caused a convergence of these forces.
