FREMONT, Calif. and BANGALORE, India, Oct. 15, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- iGATE (Nasdaq:IGTE), the first integrated Technology and Operations Company providing Business Outcomes-based solutions, today announced that the company has been ranked number one in the Dataquest-CMR Annual Survey of the Best Employers in India in the IT industry. For the sixth year in a row, iGATE was ranked among the top three employers and the number one employer for the second time.

The survey was designed and carried out in two phases. In the first phase, HR questionnaires were sent to around 200 IT companies. These spanned systems to software companies, both domestic and exports players. The questionnaire sought information on areas such as employee strength, salary structure, training days, tenure of top management, etc. Of the 200 companies, 49 companies participated in the first phase. Out of these, 38 companies were then shortlisted for the second round i.e., the employee survey based on parameters such as Total Employee Size; Average Tenure of Senior Management; Total Average Training; Retention Rate; Average Salary Hike (in Percentage).
