Cirrus Logic, Inc., a fabless semiconductor company, develops and sells high-precision analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits (ICs) for audio and energy markets worldwide. Cirrus Logic has a market cap of $2.52 billion and is part of the technology sector. The company has a P/E ratio of 30.9, equal to the average electronics industry P/E ratio and above the S&P 500 P/E ratio of 17.7. Shares are up 148.1% year to date as of the close of trading on Thursday. Currently there are seven analysts that rate Cirrus Logic a buy, no analysts rate it a sell, and one rates it a hold.

TheStreet Ratings rates Cirrus Logic as a buy. The company's strengths can be seen in multiple areas, such as its revenue growth, largely solid financial position with reasonable debt levels by most measures, expanding profit margins and solid stock price performance. We feel these strengths outweigh the fact that the company has had sub par growth in net income.

On the positive front, Aehr Test Systems (AEHR), up 9.9%, Silicon Motion Technology Corporation (SIMO), up 6.4%, Sigmatron International (SGMA), up 6%, and Microvision (MVIS), up 5.9%, were all gainers within the electronics industry with Lam Research Corporation (LRCX) being today's featured electronics industry leader.
