Baxter International Stock Hits New 52-Week High (BAX)

NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Baxter International (NYSE:BAX) hit a new 52-week high Thursday as it is currently trading at $61.70, above its previous 52-week high of $61.67 with 1.1 million shares traded as of 12:34 p.m. ET. Average volume has been 2.6 million shares over the past 30 days.

Baxter International has a market cap of $33.09 billion and is part of the health care sector and health services industry. Shares are up 22.2% year to date as of the close of trading on Wednesday.

Baxter International Inc., through its subsidiaries, develops, manufactures, and markets products for people with hemophilia, immune disorders, infectious diseases, kidney disease, trauma, and other chronic and acute medical conditions. The company has a P/E ratio of 14.9, equal to the average health services industry P/E ratio and below the S&P 500 P/E ratio of 17.7.
