The Buckle, Inc. (NYSE: BKE) announced today that comparable store net sales, for stores open at least one year, for the five-week period ended September 29, 2012 decreased 0.8 percent from comparable store net sales for the five-week period ended October 1, 2011. Net sales for the five-week fiscal month ended September 29, 2012 increased 0.8 percent to $99.1 million from net sales of $98.4 million for the prior year five-week fiscal month ended October 1, 2011.
Comparable store net sales year-to-date for the 35-week period ended September 29, 2012 increased 3.1 percent from comparable store net sales for the 35-week period ended October 1, 2011. Net sales for the 35-week fiscal period ended September 29, 2012 increased 5.1 percent to $679.2 million from net sales of $646.2 million for the prior year 35-week fiscal period ended October 1, 2011.
