BCRF Research Grantees The Breast Cancer Research Foundation Scientific Advisors recently completed the selection of grantees for the coming year and thirteen grantees were selected as the ANN INC. 2012 -2013 BCRF grant recipients led by, Dr. Graham A. Colditz , from the Washington University School of Medicine, Dr. Carol J. Fabian from the University of Kansas,  Dr. Dawn Hershman from Columbia University Medical Center, Dr. Stephen D. Hursting from the University of Texas, Dr. Johanna A. Joyce from Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, Dr. Seema Khan from  Northwestern University, Feinberg School of Medicine, Dr. Nancy U. Lin from the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Dr. Kathy D. Miller from the Indiana University School of Medicine, Dr. Annette L. Stanton from the Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center, University of California, Dr. Richard C. Zellars from the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center, Johns Hopkins University, Dr. Lois Shepherd from Queens University, Kingston, Ontario, Canada, Dr. Kala Visvanathan   from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and Dr. Laura Esserman from the University of California, San Francisco.

The Evelyn Lauder Legacy Collection was inspired by pieces from the late Evelyn Lauder's jewelry collection. Lisa Axelson, Head Designer, took inspiration for the design of the gold chain link necklace, bracelet and earrings from Mrs. Lauder's archive pieces. Lisa added pavé encrusted crystals and pink stones at the clasps in honor of the style icon's lifelong dedication to the fight against breast cancer. " Evelyn Lauder was the epitome of glamour and substance—a model for how to live life with grace, style and compassion," said Axelson. "It's incredible to design something beautiful that will give back to a cause that is so important to so many women."  The Evelyn Lauder Legacy Collection will be available in-stores and online in late September 2012. Earlier this year, Ann Taylor donated $300,000 to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation from the sale of the Ann Taylor Cares Card and the Floral Watercolor Scarf during the month of May.
