Matthew Carter Jr. Elected To USG Board Of Directors

USG Corporation (NYSE: USG), a leading building products company, has announced the election of Matthew Carter Jr. to its board of directors. Mr. Carter is President, Sprint Global Wholesale & Emerging Solutions at Sprint Nextel Corporation. He is responsible for the profit and loss of Sprint’s Global Wholesale & Emerging Solutions business unit.

Prior to his current role, Carter served as president of Boost Mobile, part of Sprint’s prepaid group. Previously, he served as senior vice president of Base Management at Sprint, where he drove coordinated marketing efforts. Mr. Carter’s leadership and experience spans more than 20 years across diverse industries with well-known companies such as Bristol Myers, Coca-Cola and Leap Wireless.

Mr. Carter is a former member of the board of directors at COMPTEL, the leading industry association representing competitive communications service providers and their supplier partners. An Advisory Board Member of Dasan Networks in Korea, Carter holds a bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University and a master of business administration from Harvard Business School.
