Tech Data Appoints Sheri Hedlund To Vice President Of Product Marketing, HP Solutions Group

CLEARWATER, Fla., Sept. 27, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Tech Data Corporation (Nasdaq:TECD) today announced that it has appointed Sheri Hedlund to vice president, Product Marketing, Hewlett Packard ("HP") Solutions Group. In this role, Hedlund will lead the Company's sales, marketing, technical, and supply chain operations supporting the full HP Solutions portfolio, driving partner enablement across the entire HP offering. Hedlund will report to Joe Quaglia, the Company's senior vice president, U.S. Marketing and president, TDMobility.

Hedlund joins Tech Data after 12 years of progressive leadership positions at HP, most recently serving as director, PSG Channel and SMB Business Management, U.S. Category. In this role, Hedlund was the executive leader for HP's $4B+ United States channel sales region, encompassing all commercial PSG business units and customer segments. Prior to HP, she was with CYNET, Inc. as director, Product Management. Hedlund holds a B.A. in Psychology from Texas Lutheran University.

In July, Tech Data announced the expansion of its HP Solutions Group offering with the addition of HP Integrity and HP ProLiant Generation 8 (Gen8) servers, as well as the introduction of an exclusive new HP configuration portal, HP Advanced Customer Experience Solution (ACES), which enables HP partners to proactively manage requests, track service levels, and receive real-time reporting on all HP enterprise servers, storage, and networking configurations via a custom web portal. The ACES portal will be made available to the full partner community in the late Fall to support and accelerate business growth and expansion opportunities.
