Stephanie Buscemi has been named Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for IHS Inc. (NYSE: IHS), the company announced today. In this newly created role, Buscemi will have full responsibility for creating a world-class, customer-driven marketing organization that will enhance the IHS brand globally, position IHS solutions at customer, country, industry and workflow levels, and help drive long-term profitable growth.
“Stephanie’s new position comes at a critical time as IHS continues to grow and invest in optimizing our online channels for lead generation and enhanced customer engagement,” said IHS President and Chief Operating Officer Scott Key. “Stephanie and her team, in strong partnership with our global sales team, industry teams and workflow teams, will help us drive new product opportunities and refine our global approach to customer relationship management and new customer acquisition. She also will lead our efforts to build a scalable, global brand platform for IHS that increases the recognition and synergy between the core IHS brand properties while providing a framework for acquisition and integration of new product brands.”
Buscemi is an accomplished marketing leader with a strong track record of success in business-to-business solutions marketing, field marketing and brand positioning. In her previous role as Senior Vice President of Marketing at SAP, she has led large global teams responsible for the positioning, messaging and definition of value propositions across the SAP portfolio of industry-based and line-of-business-based product solutions. She also served in other senior marketing roles for SAP. A UCLA graduate, she previously worked at Oracle, Business Objects and Hyperion Solutions.
Buscemi will be based at the IHS corporate headquarters in Englewood, Colo. and will report to Key.
