NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- The ex-dividend date for HollyFrontier (NYSE:HFC) is tomorrow, September 21, 2012. Owners of shares as of market close today will be eligible for a dividend of 50 cents per share. At a price of $40.29 as of 9:30 a.m. ET, the dividend yield is 1.5%.

The company's strengths can be seen in multiple areas, such as its robust revenue growth, largely solid financial position with reasonable debt levels by most measures, attractive valuation levels, increase in stock price during the past year and impressive record of earnings per share growth.
