NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Rayonier (NYSE:RYN) hit a new 52-week high Thursday as it is currently trading at $50.74, above its previous 52-week high of $50.68 with 552,071 shares traded as of 12:45 p.m. ET. Average volume has been 742,600 shares over the past 30 days.

Rayonier has a market cap of $6.2 billion and is part of the conglomerates sector and conglomerates industry. Shares are up 13.2% year to date as of the close of trading on Wednesday.

Rayonier, Inc. engages in the sale and development of real estate and timberland management, as well as in the production and sale of cellulose fibers in the United States, New Zealand, and Australia. The company has a P/E ratio of 22.6, equal to the average conglomerates industry P/E ratio and above the S&P 500 P/E ratio of 17.7.
