Comtech Telecommunications Corp. Awarded $1.3 Million Contract For High-Power Klystron Amplifiers

September 13, 2012--Comtech Telecommunications Corp. (Nasdaq:CMTL) announced today that its Santa Clara, California-based subsidiary, Comtech Xicom Technology, Inc. has been awarded a contract totaling more than $1.3 million from a major system integrator to supply klystron power amplifiers (“KPAs”). The KPAs will be deployed internationally to relay military satellite communications (“MILSATCOM”) to facilities in the United States.

The Comtech Xicom KPAs are uniquely designed for this application. They provide kilowatts of L-band output power and feature Comtech Xicom’s new full-color LCD touch screen front panel display to configure and monitor the amplifier’s performance.
