FairPoint's Chief Information Officer To Present At CTO Summit 2012

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Sept. 12, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Rose Hauser, executive vice president and chief information officer of FairPoint Communications Inc., is among the select telecom industry leaders to speak at the CTO Telecom Summit, Sept. 16-18, in Scottsdale, Ariz. 

The CTO Telecom Summit is an opportunity for chief technology officers and information executives to discuss how the mobile transformation is currently affecting the telecom industry, and how executives can position their companies to take advantage of current changes and trends.

CTO Telecom Summit speakers are senior-level decision-makers at Fortune 1000 organizations. Speakers must have executive-level experience within a major institution, with a direct focus on telecom.

Hauser will lead one of the Summit "think tanks," small interactive sessions to ensure lively debates and critical discussions. Hauser will focus on navigating transitions in the IT world and best-management practices for working with vendors.

At FairPoint, Hauser is responsible for defining and executing information technology initiatives across the company to meet the needs of the business including operations, software development and delivery and strategy for the information technology and internal business solutions departments.

She is an information technology and telecommunications professional with more than 20 years of experience; and previously served as SVP and CIO for Hawaiian Telcom. Ms. Hauser has also held executive positions at Freddie Mac, MCI, XO Communications and Bell Atlantic. She began her career at Wang Laboratories, Inc.
