Moody's Reaches New 52-Week High (MCO)

NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Moody's Corporation (NYSE:MCO) hit a new 52-week high Wednesday as it is currently trading at $43.29, above its previous 52-week high of $43.05 with 747,291 shares traded as of 10:05 a.m. ET. Average volume has been 1.5 million shares over the past 30 days.

Moody's has a market cap of $9.26 billion and is part of the services sector and diversified services industry. Shares are up 23.7% year to date as of the close of trading on Tuesday.

Moody's Corporation, through its subsidiaries, provides credit ratings, research, and analysis covering fixed-income securities, other debt instruments, and the entities that issue such instruments in the global capital markets. The company has a P/E ratio of 16.5, equal to the average diversified services industry P/E ratio and below the S&P 500 P/E ratio of 17.7.
