Other companies within the Automotive industry that increased today were: Wabash National Corporation (WNC), up 7.2%, Supreme Industries (STS), up 6.3%, China Automotive Systems (CAAS), up 3.5%, and Thor Industries (THO), up 3.3%.

Johnson Controls, Inc. engages in building efficiency, automotive experience, and power solutions businesses worldwide. Johnson Controls has a market cap of $18.99 billion and is part of the consumer goods sector. The company has a P/E ratio of 11.1, equal to the average automotive industry P/E ratio and below the S&P 500 P/E ratio of 17.7. Shares are down 11.2% year to date as of the close of trading on Monday. Currently there are 13 analysts that rate Johnson Controls a buy, no analysts rate it a sell, and 11 rate it a hold.

TheStreet Ratings rates Johnson Controls as a hold. The company's strengths can be seen in multiple areas, such as its revenue growth, growth in earnings per share and increase in net income. However, as a counter to these strengths, we also find weaknesses including a generally disappointing performance in the stock itself and poor profit margins.
