NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Hudson City Bancorp (Nasdaq:HCBK) hit a new 52-week high Tuesday as it is currently trading at $7.64, above its previous 52-week high of $7.62 with 878,066 shares traded as of 10:40 a.m. ET. Average volume has been 7.6 million shares over the past 30 days.

Hudson City has a market cap of $3.94 billion and is part of the financial sector and banking industry. Shares are up 20.8% year to date as of the close of trading on Monday.
