Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories (NYSE: RDY) announced today that is has launched Metoprolol Succinate ER (Extended-Release) Tablets (25 mg, 50 mg, 100 mg & 200 mg), a bioequivalent generic version of Toprol-XL
® (Metoprolol Succinate) Tablets in the US market on September 10, 2012. Metoprolol ER (Extended-Release) Tablets (25 mg, 50 mg, 100 mg, & 200 mg) was approved by the United States Food & Drug Administration (USFDA) in August 2012.
® brand and generic had U.S. sales of approximately $1.13 billion for the most recent twelve months ending June 2012 according to IMS Health*.
Dr. Reddy’s Metoprolol Succinate ER tablets in 25 mg, 50 mg, 100 mg and 200 mg are available in bottle counts of 100 and 500.
