LinkedIn, Foursquare, Reddit, Forrester And Performer David Blaine Join Lineup For Connections ‘12

Global interactive marketing provider  ExactTarget (NYSE:ET) announced today that leaders from Foursquare, LinkedIn, reddit, Forrester and world renowned performer David Blaine are among the newest additions to the speaker lineup for  Connections ’12 Oct. 16 – 18 in Indianapolis.

The additional speakers join already announced keynoter Michael J. Fox for ExactTarget’s annual event, which is expected to attract more than 4,000 marketers from around the globe.

Speakers joining the Connections ’12 lineup include:

• Altimeter – Charlene Li, founder and author of the New York Times bestseller “Open Leadership”
• Forrester – George Colony, chief executive officer and co-founder
• Foursquare – Zach Maier, product manager
• LinkedIn – Marc Bishop, global product marketing director
• reddit – Erik Martin, general manager and one of Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in the World
• Return Path – Matt Blumberg, chief executive officer and chairman of the Direct Marketing Association
• Urban Airship – Brent Hieggelke, chief marketing officer

ExactTarget also announced today that David Blaine will deliver the closing keynote of the event. Referred to as a modern day Houdini, Blaine’s record-breaking performances and close-up magic have awed audiences around the globe.

Built on the theme of “ Inspire the Future,” Connections ’12 is designed to challenge individuals, teams and organizations to use technology to transform ideas and make positive changes in their communities, companies and around the world. The three-day event will feature more than 40 breakout sessions that will provide advice and inspiration to improve interactive marketing across email, mobile, social media and the Web. Four-time Grammy nominated band  The Fray will also perform a private concert for conference attendees.

Registration is available online at  www.Connections2012.com. Marketers who register before Sept. 13 will receive $300 off the registration fee. Marketers attending Connections ’12 may also register to attend ExactTarget’s Academy Training Oct. 15 and 16 in Indianapolis. The training features more than 10 classes, offering registrants the opportunity to earn certifications in email, mobile and social media marketing.

Connections ’12 follows ExactTarget Connections ‘11, an event that welcomed more than 3,000 marketers to Indianapolis and featured a lineup of industry thought leaders including Wikipedia Founder Jimmy Wales and award-winning CNN anchor and special correspondent Soledad O’Brien.
