DVDO Air™ WirelessHD® System Wins CE Pro BEST Award And CustomRetailer’s EXC!TE Award

DVDO™, Inc., an award-winning provider of high-quality, high-definition (HD) video processing, switching and connectivity solutions today announced that the DVDO Air™ WirelessHD ^® system was honored with the CE Pro BEST and CustomRetailer’s EXC!TE awards. Both awards were determined by a panel of industry experts, custom installers and editors who based their decision on product innovation, functionality and installer benefit criteria.

The DVDO Air system was named a winner of CE Pro’s 2012 BEST Awards in the “Accessory” category. The BEST Awards recognize noteworthy new products and technologies for the custom installer channel. CustomRetailer Magazine’s EXC!TE Awards honor products that make custom installations easier, increasing installer productivity, client satisfaction and dealer profitability. DVDO was one out of 70 A/V companies to win this coveted award from several hundred entries. Both awards are being presented to DVDO during the CEDIA Expo.

Featuring Silicon Image’s industry-leading 60GHz WirelessHD technology, the DVDO Air system transmits uncompressed 1080p 2D and 3D video formats, and up to 7.1-channel lossless surround sound from HD source units to a HDTV and/or display. The solution consists of a wireless transmitter, a wireless receiver and a receiver-mounting clip that easily secures to the wall or to the top of the HDTV. DVDO Air offers a clean, wall-mountable alternative to long cables and provides flexibility in positioning high-definition equipment anywhere in the room without the placement restrictions of a wired connection.

DVDO is currently exhibiting and hosting product demonstrations at CEDIA in booth #1339 at the Indiana Convention Center, including the DVDO Air. The DVDO Air can also be purchased from authorized distributors and professional installers.
