Rovi And Belkin Launch On-the-Go TV Experience With Rovi Entertainment Data On Belkin's @TV

AMSTERDAM, Netherlands, Sept. 6, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- IBC – Driving digital entertainment innovation, Rovi Corporation (Nasdaq:ROVI) and Belkin, creator of people-inspired consumer technology products, today announced that Belkin has launched @TV, a media streaming box that enables users to access content from their home theater on their personal and mobile devices, with Rovi Video. Using the @TV application, consumers can navigate through a guide powered by Rovi Video – a comprehensive collection of metadata on TV, movies and celebrities – and find the content they want to watch, connect and watch it immediately, or record it remotely.

In addition to the TV program and schedule information, Belkin's @TV media streaming box provides an enhanced user experience with high quality images, biographies, reviews, descriptors, and award information based on Rovi Video. The product also uses Hot Pick Lists curated by the Rovi editorial team to recommend content to its users. Rovi Video is used on hundreds of millions of TVs and STBs today.
