Regal Entertainment Group (NYSE: RGC), a leading motion picture exhibitor owning and operating the largest theatre circuit in the United States, announces the results of the Regal Straw Vote. Through this innovative campaign, Regal donated 50 cents for every medium and large frozen drink sold during August. Those choosing a cherry drink supported St. Jude Children’s Hospital while a different flavor selection benefitted Boys and Girls Clubs of America. Moviegoers across the country have voted and the winner of the Regal Straw Vote is the Boys and Girls Clubs of America.

“In the final count, Regal’s Straw Vote clearly shows that kids all across the USA are the winners in this cause-marketing campaign,” stated Ken Thewes, Regal Entertainment Group Chief Marketing Officer. “In addition to the portion of proceeds from each big frozen drink sold in August, Regal is also donating another $320,000 giving each charity reason to celebrate victory.”

Regal has a long history of investing in American charities and through the Regal Straw Vote moviegoers were also able to show their support. Boys and Girls Clubs of America earned $97,721 from the frozen drink sales while St. Jude Children’s Hospital earned $65,692. Regal is also making an additional $320,000 donation to be split evenly to both charities. This brings the Regal Straw Vote campaign total to equal $483,413.
