(NYSE MKT: GIG), a leading fabless supplier of semiconductor and optical components that enable high speed information streaming, today announced that Victor Tu, who brings nearly 20 years experience in sales and engineering, is the new Vice President of Sales for the Asia Pacific Region.

About Victor Tu
Mr. Tu has nearly 20 years of semiconductor sales and engineering experience. Prior to joining GigOptix, he served as VP of Sales (APAC) at Gennum Corporation, which was acquired by Semtech Corporation in March of 2012. Victor was responsible for growing sales revenues through direct sales and regional distribution channels in support of their analog and mixed signal products. Previously, Mr. Tu worked for an array of startup optical component companies where he managed and directed worldwide sales. Victor started his career in product development and has worked for various semiconductor and high-tech companies. Victor received his BS degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from Old Dominion University in Norfolk Virginia.
