NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Sears Holdings Corporation (Nasdaq:SHLD) is trading at unusually high volume Thursday with 2.6 million shares changing hands. It is currently at four times its average daily volume and trading down $4.45 (-7.8%) at $53 as of 3:20 p.m. ET.

Sears has a market cap of $5.85 billion and is part of the services sector and retail industry. Shares are up 73% year to date as of the close of trading on Wednesday.

Sears Holdings Corporation operates as a specialty retailer in the United States and Canada. The company's Kmart segment operates stores that sell merchandise under Jaclyn Smith and Joe Boxer labels; and Sears brand products, such as Kenmore, Craftsman, and DieHard.
