Other companies within the Automotive industry that increased today were: Enova Systems (ENA), up 9.1%, China Zenix Auto International Ltd ADR (ZX), up 5.3%, Visteon (VC), up 2.5%, and Winnebago Industries (WGO), up 2.5%.

Tesla Motors, Inc. designs, develops, manufactures, and sells electric vehicles and electric vehicle powertrain components. The company offers Tesla Roadster, an electric sports car. Tesla Motors has a market cap of $3.07 billion and is part of the consumer goods sector. Shares are up 5.1% year to date as of the close of trading on Tuesday. Currently there are seven analysts that rate Tesla Motors a buy, two analysts rate it a sell, and three rate it a hold.

TheStreet Ratings rates Tesla Motors as a sell. The company's weaknesses can be seen in multiple areas, such as its feeble growth in its earnings per share, deteriorating net income, generally high debt management risk, disappointing return on equity and poor profit margins.
