VuMee Announces Michael Spiegel As CEO

VuMee (OTCBB: VUME) has announced Michael Spiegel as Chief Executive Officer.

When asked what attracted him to the industry, Spiegel said that "the explosive growth of consumer time spent with mobile and new media along with the transition to smartphones and tablets, is a perfect storm of opportunity for a company like VuMee that can create value and monetize quality video content."

According to Cisco, global internet video traffic will be 55 percent of all consumer Internet traffic in 2016, up from 51 percent in 2011. The sum of all forms of video will be approximately 86 percent of global consumer traffic by 2016. The mobile media sector, reached the $1 billion revenue mark faster than any other communications industry and is predicted to hit the $100 billion mark.

Michael Spiegel is an established entrepreneur with a history of incubating technology startups since 1996. He has been an integral part in developing the burgeoning South Florida technology sector. Mr. Spiegel was the President of MNS Holdings, a real estate holding company located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, from 2005 to 2011. In 1998 he founded WebUnited, one of the first regional ISP’s in South Florida, and was its CEO until it was sold in 2004. Prior to that, he served as the CEO of Protectpoint Security, a managed security platform for small to mid-sized businesses.
