Regal Entertainment Group (NYSE: RGC), a leading motion picture exhibitor owning and operating the largest theatre circuit in the United States, announces the results of America’s Favorites in RPX. Regal’s Facebook fans were asked to vote for the 2012 movie they would most like to see back on the big screen exclusively in the Regal Premium Experience (RPX). The results in order of preference are: ‘Dark Knight Rises,’ ‘Marvel’s Avengers 3D,’ ‘Amazing Spider-Man 3D’ and ‘Hunger Games.’ Beginning Labor Day weekend, Regal will offer these movies for a special ticket price at 27 participating locations.
“We’re taking the top four movies and showcasing them in the Regal Premium Experience for a one week encore engagement. Plus Regal Crown Club members can enjoy an incredible value with tickets only $5,” stated Ken Thewes, Chief Marketing Officer for Regal Entertainment Group. “Regal thanks all of our fans for making their opinions known. The Facebook poll was wildly popular with approximately 8-million impressions during a one week period.”
Tickets to see one of America’s Favorites in RPX are only $5 when bought at the box office by members of the Regal Crown Club. Moviegoers can sign-up at theatres for free membership before making a purchase. For online ticket sales and for those without membership, admission is $6. Through the industry-leading Regal Crown Club patrons accumulate credits at the box office and concession stand to earn free popcorn, soft drinks and movies.
The Regal Premium Experience is like choosing first class at the movies. RPX presents films the way moviemakers intended with powerful, uncompressed surround sound and bright eye-popping images in 2D and 3D. Guests will enjoy the custom-built premium environment featuring elegant and luxurious seats with high-back headrests. A giant immersive screen is illuminated by high-quality digital projectors and completed with a state-of-the-art sound system.
