Comtech Telecommunications Corp. Awarded $1.5 Million Order For DoubleTalk® Carrier-in-Carrier® To Support Service Expansion In Asia-Pacific

(NASDAQ: CMTL) announced today that its Tempe, Arizona-based subsidiary, Comtech EF Data Corp., was awarded a $1.5 million DoubleTalk ^® Carrier-in-Carrier ^® bandwidth compression order from a telecommunications service provider in Asia-Pacific. The service provider will utilize the technology to facilitate a network expansion and to deliver new services to rural villages.

With satellite bandwidth prices on the rise in Asia, service providers are seeking technology solutions to increase throughput and reduce OPEX so they can remain competitive and continue offering affordable services. This service provider is upgrading fielded DMD50 Universal Satellite Modems with DoubleTalk ^® Carrier-in-Carrier ^®.
