NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Sirius XM Radio (Nasdaq:SIRI) hit a new 52-week high Tuesday as it is currently trading at $2.53, above its previous 52-week high of $2.52 with 39 million shares traded as of 1:05 p.m. ET. Average volume has been 51.3 million shares over the past 30 days.

Sirius XM Radio has a market cap of $9.49 billion and is part of the services sector and media industry. Shares are up 36.3% year to date as of the close of trading on Monday.

Sirius XM Radio Inc. provides satellite radio services in the United States and Canada. The company broadcasts approximately 135 channels, including music, sports, entertainment, comedy, talk, news, traffic, and weather channels on subscription fee basis through two satellite radio systems.
