Apple iPhone 5 May Be Ready Sept. 12
NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Apple's (AAPL) highly anticipated iPhone 5 will be available for pre-order on Sept. 12, according to an iMorereport.
Apple introduced the iPhone 4S on Oct. 4 last year and made pre-orders available the following week, on Oct. 7. If previous launches are anything to go by, customers pre-ordering the so-called iPhone 5 could have their phones in hand by early October. Apple didn't comment on the latest iteration of its blockbuster smartphone.
As usual with new Apple products, little is known about the next generation of the iconic smartphone. TheStreet previously reported that it will be unveiled in September.
Apple shares edged up 1.1% to $628.81 on Monday.
