The Republic Group Announces Hiring Of New Vice President Of Claims

DALLAS, Aug. 10, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The Republic Group today announced that the Boards of Directors of its various insurance entities have named Timothy R. Wiedmeyer to serve as the companies' Vice President of Claims.

Wiedmeyer, 45, was with West Bend Mutual Insurance Company, a regional property and casualty insurer distributing its insurance products through independent agents, from 1996 to 2011. He served as their Vice President - Claims since 2001.

Wiedmeyer began his 23-year claims career with Heritage Mutual Insurance Company (now Acuity) and subsequently assumed a range of management responsibilities at the above companies for commercial and personal lines claims, special investigations (SIU) and subrogation.  He obtained a bachelor's degree in business management and economics from Ripon College and holds the CPCU and AIC designations.
