Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories (NYSE: RDY) announced today that it has launched Montelukast Sodium Tablets (10 mg) and Montelukast Sodium Chewable Tablets (4 mg & 5 mg), bioequivalent generic versions of SINGULAIR® Tablets and Chewable tablets, in the US market on August 6, 2012 following the approval by the United States Food & Drug Administration (USFDA) of Dr. Reddy’s ANDA.
The SINGULAIR® tablets and Chewable tablets brand had U.S. sales of approximately $3.6 Billion and $1.14 Billion respectively for the most recent twelve months ending March 2012 according to IMS Health.
Dr. Reddy’s Montelukast Sodium Tablets in 10 mg and Montelukast Sodium Chewable Tablets in 4 mg and 5 mg are available in bottle counts of 30 and 90.
