GE Appoints Six New Company Officers

GE today announces the appointment of six new company officers. GE currently has 203 officers globally who lead large revenue generating businesses or are in critical functional roles, helping to drive growth.

Below are the details of the new officers:

Randy A. Fox, 52, has been appointed vice president and Chief Information Officer (CIO), GE Healthcare. In this role, he will lead the global IT organization while partnering closely with the business and regions to deliver tools, processes and systems to enable our employees, customers and their patients.

Randy has been with GE for over 25 years, having served as CIO for GE Plastics, GE Supply and GE Energy before assuming his current role. In his most recent post with GE Energy Management, Randy led the global IT organization and delivered new capabilities to support the business’ IT requirements.

He received his undergraduate degree in computer science from Ball State University and his masters of business administration from the University of Cincinnati.

Carl B. Horton, 48, has been appointed vice president and Chief Intellectual Property Counsel, GE Corporate Legal. In this role, Carl is responsible for all IP matters across the company, including obtaining, monetizing and enforcing all patents, copyrights, trademarks and trade secrets throughout the world.

Prior to his current role Carl served as Senior IP Counsel at GE Industrial Systems and GE Healthcare. He has been with GE for over 19 years.

He received his bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Utah and his Juris Doctor from George Washington University.

Karim Karti, 43, has been appointed vice president and Chief Marketing Officer, GE Healthcare. In this role, he will be responsible for developing and implementing growth strategies for GE Healthcare globally. Karim has been with GE Healthcare for 15 years, having served in a number of business management, services, sales and marketing roles in the US, Asia and EMEA before assuming his current position.

In his most recent post as president and CEO, GE Healthcare for Russia & CIS, Turkey & Central Asia, the Middle East & Africa he successfully led market expansion building strong local capabilities and increasing partnerships with key public and private customers. Prior to starting his GE career with the Corporate Audit Staff in 1996, he served as a Brand Manager with Procter and Gamble.
