( NASDAQ:SMSI) announced today that T-Mobile® USA selected its QuickLink® Zero solution to simplify and enhance usability of mobile hotspot devices and tethered smartphones. The new solution will improve the reach of T-Mobile products and services to Wi-Fi only devices, while reducing customer care costs associated with complicated hotspot setup.
By simplifying 3G/4G connectivity from Wi-Fi devices such as tablets, netbooks, laptops, and e-readers, the QuickLink solution enables operators to increase engagement with their customers using large screen devices, which are more likely to generate additional services uptake by subscribers. Proactive alerts provided by QuickLink help users to understand which devices are connected to their hotspots and manage how much data is being used by each device, helping to avoid security holes.
