UnionBanCal Corporation today announced changes to the Board of Directors, effective immediately.
Mr. Nubuo Kuroyanagi, former Chairman of The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd. (BTMU), and Masaaki Tanaka, former CEO for the Americas of BTMU and former President & CEO of Union Bank, N.A., will step down from the Board of Directors for UnionBanCal Corporation, effective July 31
. Mr. Kuroyanagi has been a Senior Advisor at BTMU, and Mr. Tanaka has assumed the role of Deputy President of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) in Tokyo.
Mr. Katsunori Nagayasu, President of MUFG and Chairman of BTMU, and Mr. Katsumi Hatao, Deputy CEO for the Americas and Chief Executive, Headquarters for the Americas of BTMU, will join as new members of the Board of Directors for UnionBanCal Corporation, also effective July 31
