Walmart Stores Bring NASCAR Fan Events And Unique Race Time Experiences To Pennsylvania

WILKES-BARRE, Pa., July 31, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- As the Pocono Raceway prepares for the upcoming Pennsylvania 400, select Walmart stores will offer authentic NASCAR merchandise and host exclusive fan events starting Aug. 2. Customers are invited to attend these special events and enjoy show car and simulator displays– perfect to safely get behind the wheel and feel the power of NASCAR – Aug. 2-4 from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., depending on the location.

The Pennsylvania 400 is the second of two NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races held at the Pocono Raceway, the other being the Pocono 400. The Pocono Raceway, known for its triangularly shaped 2.5 mile track, debuted its first race on the Sprint Cup circuit in 1974 with Richard Petty taking the victory.  Since then, 68 total races have run at the Pocono Raceway.  Jeff Gordon and Bill Elliott are currently tied with the most wins including five victories.
