By the end of trading, Tesla Motors fell 82 cents (-2.8%) to $28.13 on heavy volume. Throughout the day, 2.3 million shares of Tesla Motors exchanged hands as compared to its average daily volume of 1.4 million shares. The stock ranged in price between $27.64-$30 after having opened the day at $29.90 as compared to the previous trading day's close of $28.95. Other company's within the Automotive industry that declined today were: ATC Venture Group (ATC), down 7.1%, Enova Systems (ENA), down 6.4%, Titan International (TWI), down 5.5%, and Spartan Motors (SPAR), down 3.5%.

Tesla Motors, Inc. designs, develops, manufactures, and sells electric vehicles and electric vehicle powertrain components. The company offers Tesla Roadster, an electric sports car. Tesla Motors has a market cap of $3.14 billion and is part of the consumer goods sector. Shares are up 1.4% year to date as of the close of trading on Wednesday. Currently there are seven analysts that rate Tesla Motors a buy, two analysts rate it a sell, and two rate it a hold.
