Intel Corporation designs, manufactures, and sells integrated digital technology platforms primarily in the Asia-Pacific, the Americas, Europe, and Japan. Intel has a market cap of $125.8 billion and is part of the technology sector. The company has a P/E ratio of 10.6, equal to the average electronics industry P/E ratio and below the S&P 500 P/E ratio of 17.7. Shares are up 3.6% year to date as of the close of trading on Wednesday. Currently there are 17 analysts that rate Intel a buy, two analysts rate it a sell, and 20 rate it a hold.

The company's strengths can be seen in multiple areas, such as its revenue growth, largely solid financial position with reasonable debt levels by most measures, notable return on equity, expanding profit margins and solid stock price performance. We feel these strengths outweigh the fact that the company has had sub par growth in net income.

On the negative front, Nexxus Lighting (NEXS), down 13.5%, A123 Systems (AONE), down 8.9%, Rambus (RMBS), down 8.8%, and Ascent Solar Technologies (ASTI), down 8.7%, were all laggards within the electronics industry with First Solar (FSLR) being today's electronics industry laggard.
