Net tangible book value per common share is calculated as net tangible common stockholders' equity divided by shares of common stock outstanding. The Company's goodwill as of June 30, 2012 was $184 million, of which approximately $159 million is deductible for income tax purposes over an original period of 15 years. The calculation of net tangible book value takes into account the full amount of tax benefit of approximately $60 million associated with deductible goodwill assuming the Company will continue to have income sufficient to allow it to recognize this benefit in future periods.
